Social
No company can be any better than the communities in which it operates. If you want to improve your company, you need to improve your communities. Individually, we are a voice in the wilderness, but together, we can create change.
Forging preparedness partnerships
Our St. Helens, Oregon, paper mill was a founding member of the Columbia Emergency Planning Association (CEPA). CEPA includes more than 40 agencies, businesses, and safety organizations that play a significant role in countywide emergency preparedness and developing public awareness campaigns.
Proof of performance: Giving
Lori Lyman and her colleagues on the United Way advisory board near our paper mill in International Falls, Minnesota, led a Power of the Purse fundraising event that brought in $12,387 – an overwhelming success in a community of 6,703.
Lori is a senior executive assistant at our Minnesota mill.
Business Savvy
When every employee understands the direction we're heading and how we measure our financial progress, we have a knowledgable and highly engaged workforce.
Small teams at every Boise Inc. location develop and deliver a Business Savvy course to their co-workers about the financial basics of our business.
