Community
Our people contribute time and energy to make a difference in their communities in a variety of ways – from holding charity drives for homeless children and adopting needy families at Christmas to teaching school kids about sustainable forestry practices. Boise Inc. employees are National Guard members, volunteer firefighters, and tutors; they build Habitat for Humanity houses and raise money for their churches.
People in our locations are integral parts of their hometowns. That's why Boise Inc. encourages volunteer activities and has a localized approach to donations.
Boise Inc. locations manage their own contributions programs.

Proof of performance: Partnerships
Our DeRidder, Louisiana, paper mill has a formal agreement with local, state, and federal emergency response agencies to improve their joint response to disasters like Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Participants expanded their response capability through robust infrastructure and relationships. The mill provides warehouse space and land for materials staging, and mill volunteers provide critical human resources during disasters.
